Spanning the area between Davidson and Rowan counties of North Carolina, our real estate office at High Rock Lake is located at the northernmost part of Uwharrie Lake at the confluence of the Yadkin and South Yadkin Rivers. High Rock Lake, the second largest in North Carolina, is named for the tallest mountain in the Uwharrie mountains. Originally built as one of four Yadkin Project dams and a reservoir for hydroelectric power generation by the Alcoa company, High Rock Lake now powers several wonderful communities.
High Rock Lake attracts fishermen from across the United States for popular angling competitions and its plethora of fish. It is well known as one of the best places to fish for largemouth bass in North Carolina, having been the site of several Bassmaster tournaments.
The lake also offers many other recreational water activities including boating, sailing, jet skis, water skiing, swimming, kayaking, canoeing, paddle boats, tubing, and wakeboarding.
The communities surrounding the lake include Lexington, Salisbury, Southmont, Linwood, High Rock, and Spencer. With almost 365 miles of shoreline, a considerable amount of the lake is lined with privately owned homes. Our realtors specialize in matching prospective homeowners with just the right property throughout the High Rock Lake area.
